Dave Baran is CEO of CharityVillage, Canada's leading online platform connecting nonprofit and charitable organizations with the talent, knowledge, and resources they need to thrive. He leads the organization's strategic direction, operations, and growth, with a focus on helping charities and nonprofits build stronger teams and greater organizational capacity.
With more than 20 years of leadership experience in talent acquisition, recruitment technology, and business development, Dave brings deep expertise in connecting employers with skilled professionals. Since joining CharityVillage in 2018, he has focused on leveraging that experience to strengthen Canada's nonprofit sector by expanding access to recruitment solutions, learning opportunities, and sector insights.
Prior to CharityVillage, Dave was a member of the leadership team at Workopolis.com and held senior executive roles with CNC Global (now Randstad), Gartner, Siebel Systems (now Oracle), Compaq (now Hewlett Packard), and GE Capital IT Solutions.
Dave is passionate about building collaborative, trust-based relationships and leading teams that deliver meaningful value to nonprofit and charitable organizations. He is committed to advancing CharityVillage's mission of helping Canada's charitable sector attract talent, strengthen organizations, and maximize community impact.
