About me
Alex is a seasoned marketing professional with over 25 years of experience spanning the financial and non-profit sectors. Driven by a passion for philanthropy and relationship-building, he transitioned from finance to lead impactful campaigns in the charitable space.
At Plan Canada, he played a key role in launching the “Because I am a Girl” campaign, which helped inspire the UN to declare October 11 as the International Day of the Girl. He later contributed to a record-breaking $210 million campaign at St. Michael’s Hospital Foundation, positioning it as Canada’s leading critical care hospital. At UNHCR Canada, he led the national fundraising program, quadrupling net revenue over five years.
Alex now serves at the Canadian Mental Health Association, Ontario Division, where he focuses on advancing community engagement and donor stewardship.
