Rethinking Revenue for Today’s Nonprofits
Thursday October 8, 2026 TBA
Everyone’s working on revenue diversification—but it’s not as straightforward as it sounds.
This session creates space to unpack what’s actually happening across nonprofits right now.

Revenue diversification has become a shared focus across the nonprofit sector -but in practice, it’s rarely straightforward. Many organizations are expanding their revenue mix, testing new approaches, and trying to build something more sustainable. At the same time, this often brings added complexity: more moving pieces, more trade-offs, and no single clear path forward.
In this session, we’ll start with a short look at the current landscape - what we’re seeing across organizations right now, where diversification is gaining traction, and where it’s creating new challenges. We’ll also look at how real nonprofits are approaching this work: how they’re combining revenue streams, what’s evolving, and what still feels uncertain.
From there, the focus shifts to conversation. We’ll provide guided discussion topics and facilitate small group conversations, giving participants space to share how diversification is playing out in their own organizations, what they’re testing, what’s working, and where things feel harder than expected.
We’ll then come back together as a full group to share insights, patterns, and questions across tables. This is an opportunity to learn from each other’s experiences and see how different approaches are taking shape in real time.
Throughout, we’ll also explore the idea of taking smaller, more intentional bets—testing and learning in ways that reflect each organization’s capacity, context, and appetite for change.
Learning Outcomes:
  • How organizations are approaching revenue diversification, where it’s gaining traction, and where it’s creating new challenges.
  • The current revenue mixes from across the sector, what they’re testing, and where diversification efforts are working—or not.

The Legacy Opportunity Map: New Audiences, New Motivations, Big Growth
Thursday October 8, 2026 TBA
Legacy giving is expanding into new territory, and many organizations need a new way to navigate the opportunities. Interest is rising across generations, yet many programs remain anchored in strategies designed for older, long-on-file donors. The result: intention is rising, but many programs are still built for a different donor, a different moment and different expectations.

Drawing on insights from more than 60 affinity surveys, multi-market research and years of performance data, this roundtable explores the key friction points that prevent donors from moving from values alignment to intention sharing—and how to reduce them. Through the lens of a modern “legacy opportunity map,” panelists will share how leading organizations are identifying new audiences, reducing barriers and applying content and stewardship strategies that turn interest into meaningful engagement.

Together, we will examine how shifting demographics, life stages, and expectations are reshaping the legacy landscape. Participants will leave with a clear roadmap to unlock growth, simplify pathways, and build stronger, more sustainable legacy programs.

Learning Outcomes:
  • Identify the most common points of friction in the legacy journey and diagnose where outdated assumptions and systems are limiting engagement.
  • Learn how to segment and prioritize emerging legacy audiences based on life stage, motivation, and readiness.
  • Apply practical strategies to reduce complexity, strengthen donor confidence, and improve progression from interest to intention sharing.
  • Develop a clear, actionable roadmap to modernize your legacy program and unlock new sources of long-term growth.
