Donor Experience has evolved from a stewardship activity into a critical driver of acquisition, retention and long-term value across the whole of the fundraising mix. As donor decisions are increasingly shaped by personal experiences and peer influence, rethinking Donor Experience with a strategic lens that goes beyond a ‘nice to have’ is essential for growth. This session explores the theory and the tactical steps needed to embed Donor Experience strategy across the entire donor journey, to strengthen affinity and improve performance. Featuring practical examples from the American Diabetes Association, we’ll examine what it takes to move from intention to execution—sharing practical frameworks, real-world learnings and actionable ideas to help you create more connected, meaningful experiences that drive sustained fundraising results.

Donor Experience has evolved far beyond stewardship. It is now a critical driver of growth, retention and long-term value. But as a fundraiser, where do you start to advocate and apply strategic Donor Experience within your organization? Join Rachel Hunnybun and Kara Warr from ADA for a practical workshop that will help prioritize quick wins, longer term goals and practical applications.  
 
Taking the Donor Experience model, we will explore each quadrant up against your own organization, discussing tools, tactics, tips for applying the model and having the right conversations with the right stakeholders to embed the principles across your program.  
 
As part of this workshop, you will have the opportunity to work on and receive input on a current or past communication to practically identify where elements of the Donor Experience model could be applied to strengthen the value from a donor perspective.
